The piece rise from the need to tell. From the talk between each other about the passage of time, the passing of the years. From the fact of not being able to erase out of our minds the question of "what will come next?". We decided to talk about the way we got caught getting started and giving up something over and over again. We concluded that get over one's own issues, is an indispensable condition to create and grow together. And we achieved to create a link between three, very different people. Who got the same situation and status. From which they push themselves into the unknown, towards a quite uncertain future, which develops into the "And now what?".
Compañía X emerged in September 2018 and created its first piece under the name "Y ahora qué?". In 2019, it premiered and presented this piece
and its long format at different festivals and spaces in Costa Rica, Mexico
and Panama. In 2020, in Spain, they took part in several festivals and theatres such as Beta Pública, Pies Para Qué Los Quiero, Cervandantes, Teatro Lagrada and Teatro de la Estación. In 2021, they premiered their 3rd piece, "Tómbola", at the Teatro de la Estación in Zaragoza and in 2022 they visited La Fundición in Seville and the Sala Utopian Getxo with the same work. That same year, and with "Y ahora qué?", they participated in DanzaXtrema, the "El fin de los días perdidos" Festival and they returned to La Fundición in Seville. In 2023 they continue participating in different festivals and alternative spaces and they are working on a new piece called « Iocari ». Simultaneously, they take part in other kinds of events like book launches, poetry festivals...
