We arrive at adolescence like a tin robot prepared for anything except resting peacefully in our bodies. From the age of elven onwards mischievous hormones take over our temperament and provoke unexpected changes in our body. As if in a science fiction film, we mutate, change shape and begin to transform into a different being. Sometimes we shrug our shoulders and hide our faces to hide this metamorphosis. Other times, we are capable of challenging the whole world, quickly carving out a convincing response.
Angela and Koldo have one wish. They want to go back to that time and use their skin as a starting point. Building up from the skin a home full of sensations in which to discover oneself and re-find oneself in each gap, each centimetre. A safe productive place in which the ideas and wishes of our imagination might develop, making us capable of any deed, capable of the impossible.
"Un cuerpo sinvergüenza" is a piece about adolescence. Aimed at both an adolescent and adult audience.
"Angela y Koldo" started to work together in 2012 with the piece for children ALLES. They have toured more than 10 countries and performed this show more than 150 times.
“ALLES” has been danced at the Imaginate Festival (Scotland), Kopergietery (Belgium) FestivalStarcke Stucke (Germany), Danstationen Malmo (Sweden), Casa Encendida and Teatro Pradillo and Sala Cuarta Pared (Madrid) and La Caldera (Barcelona) among other places.
In 2016, they pre-premiered their new piece "UN CUERPO SINVERGÜENZA" in the Antic Teatre (Barcelona) and following a technical residence at La Caldera they presented the final version of this show in March 2017.
In June 2017, they were awarded the ACT-DURI Prize at the Festival Act, which led them to present this work at the DURI Theatre of Seoul (Korea).
As well as being creators and performers, both have ample experience in teaching dance and art courses to children and adolescents. Their artistic work focuses on the search for new languages expressed through the body. Exploring the frontiers between voice and body, dance and movement and the search for a performativity which allows them to get closer to the audience.
