55-minute trio about the gender between the male and the female. An ironic role play for those of us who rely on operatic tragicomedy, blending it with a study of machismo in pop lyrics in the last forty years. A plea for the right to be recognised as people and not on ac-count of the skin that envelops us.
It was the first production by M. Arístegui since he settled in Galicia three years ago.
Mikel Arístegui, artistic director at Sil Producciones, has enjoyed an almost 30-year career in creation and production within contemporary dance and dance theatre. In 1994 and along-side Marcela San Pedro he won the first prize at the Madrid choreographic competition, and since then he has worked as a performer and creator in different structures and forms, as well as creating his own productions and projects for non-conventional spaces. Mainly in Switzerland and Germany, but also in the UK, France, Ireland and Italy. In Spain, he has at-tended festivals such as Lekuz-Leku and Dantza Hirian regularly, and lately that of Vila-real en Danza and the latest edition of CIRCULA 2020, a vehicle for creation and training in Dance. For the last three years, he has been living in Galicia, in the Ribeira Sacra region, in a village of 180 inhabitants very close to the Sil Canyon.
