Photography Jorge SalvadorBERRIKETAN means chatting in Basque. This project was born in the roots of the Basque people. It fuses flamenco dance and its music with the txalaparta, an ancestral instrument with a long tradition in the Basque Country. The ttakun for joy, the heel taps of the dance to the song of the txalaparta, or the guitars and the wails that murmur between the lines make up the comings and goings of the conversations and the feeling of this performance. The fusion of these two cultures is what characterises this company, which after having circulated its first creation all over the Basque Country, enjoying a great reception, tackles its second creation, very eagerly, and delivering new and different elements and disciplines which make the show even more entertaining and innovative.
