Barbechar. (de barbecho).Fallow v. t.. (from fallow, n.)
1. tr. The plowing or tilling of land preparing it for the sowing.
2. tr. To plow, harrow, and break up, as land, without seeding, for the purpose of rendering it mellow.
BARBECHO reflects upon the process of creation itself. Though movement and choreography it brings into question several aspects of, and around the piece, as well as how the author’s reaction to his own creation.
The fallowed state allows us to leave hurries and duty behind… It gives us pleasure by simply being, waiting for something to happen or not happen. Fallow means rest, the need for change, the breathing room that, through renewal, helps us face our daily struggles.
Leisure is a game, and to play means to fallow your soul.
